Game Plan:
Meet at Crissie Caughlin Park and walk along the Truckee River on the Crooked Mile through Idlewild Park. Once we reach the other rainbow path (about 1 mile/25 minutes) we will turn around and walk back to Crissie Caughlin where we will set up for a Hotdog Picnic.

Why We Walk:
Thank you to everyone who supports us: whether through love, participating in walks, or donations and fundraising. Thank you for being there for our Margot. Walking in Great Strides is more than just raising money for the CF Foundation and awareness for cystic fibrosis. It's about showing up for a little girl (and 1 and 3,000 other babies) that do not deserve a diagnosis but brave tests and treatments anyway. It's about standing together as her community so in any dark moments this disease brings, she knows just how loved and supported she is.
Why We Raise Money:
The CF Foundation was founded in 1955 by a group of parents who were determined to save the lives of their children. Back then, the life expectancy was just 5 years old. The CF Foundation has supported CFers and their families for over 70 years and has funded the research that has lead to many CFers living an almost normal life expectancy today. They run mentorship programs and online support groups, help CFers gain access to medical trials, help battle insurance companies, and so much more. Because of them, Margot has the outlook she does. And because us, I hope future CFers have a cure.
