65 Roses Challenge

We’re excited to introduce Move for a Mission: The 65 Roses Challenge! Our goal is to bring awareness to the disease, Cystic Fibrosis (CF), because the more people who know about it, the more people can help! 
 
Move Your Body
 
To help bring awareness to CF, students were challenged to move their bodies for 65 minutes a day from May 20-29. 

Walking the dog, playing at recess and sports practices all count!

Students will track their activity on their tracker sheets, and each day they move for 65 minutes or more counts as one point for their classroom.  Activity trackers were handed out in the classroom - see your teacher if you need a new one!
 
Fundraising
 
Students are also encouraged to help raise money from May 20-29. All donations go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, who uses the money to develop new medicine and treatment to keep people with CF healthy. 
 
Their biggest goal is to find a cure, so that the 100,000+ people who have CF can live longer, healthier lives without all the medications, treatments and hospital stays that they have right now. 
 
Rewards
 
Two winning classes will have the choice of a pizza party or ice cream sundae party:
 

  • The class with the most activity points
  • The class with the most donations
  • Students who raise $25 or more will earn a CF Friendship Bracelet.
  • Students who raise $50 or more will have a choice between an inflatable light saber or CFF t-shirt.


How to Collect Donations
 

  • Collect cash donations or share your class link for electronic donations!
  • Turn cash donations in to the envelope in your homeroom teacher’s class. 

  • For online donations, click the Find a Teacher button at the top to look for your child's homeroom teacher and share with friends or family. 

  • Donations are welcome any time, but only those collected through May 29 will count towards your class total.
