Are you a current member of Orangetheory Fitness? Have you ever done a 90-minute challenge class? Even if you're not a member, have you ever been curious about what the OTF burn can do for you?!

We have an upcoming opportunity to  combine the benefits of the OTF burn with a fun 90-minute class led by Coach Lea to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! 


You're invited to join my passion fundraising event which will be a super charged, fun, donation based 90-minute workout hosted by OTF La Mesa and Coach Lea on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 06:40am. Your participation will help us turn "C(ystic) F(ibrosis)" into "Cure Found"!

Orangetheory is growing in popularity among the CF population and many living with the disease state that this HIIT style workout significantly contributes to the improvement of their lung function!  
 


The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) has fueled dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the Foundation, people with CF are living longer and healthier lives.  The outlook for people with CF continues to improve year after year.

This fun and exciting event will help raise funds to support my Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) special event fundraising efforts, and help the Foundation forward their mission to find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis.

About CF:
Cystic fibrosis is a rare, life-shortening, genetic disease found in about 40,000 people in the U.S., which causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. Those living with this disease are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers – all struggling each day just to breathe and live normal, healthy lives.
 
Sixty years ago, most children with cystic fibrosis did not live long enough to attend elementary school, but thanks to Foundation-based research and care, many people with CF are now living into their forties – achieving milestones once thought not possible, such as attending college, pursuing careers, and having a family of their own.


While there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short. By participating in fundraising efforts that benefit CFF, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of all people living with CF today.

I'm here to tell you that YOUR DONATIONS DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! 
With the support of the generous hearts that have donated to CFF, a new drug called Trikafta was developed by the CF Foundation and approved by the FDA in 2019. This revolutionary drug will give up to 90% of people living with CF a drug therapy that significantly increases their lung function. AMAZING! 

But there's still 10% of the CF population who don't benefit from this drug therapy, so we're still fighting for a cure for all! We can do it, we just need your support!

1) Register for the 06:40am 90-minute class on 8/10/24 in your OTF app like any other normal class
2) Make your donation prior to the event or on the day-of using the QR Code on the flyer and/or directly through this page (click the Donate button). 

Non-members:
1) Reach out to Team OTF La Mesa at 619-916-5999 and coordinate signing up for a 'drop in class' reservation for a $28 fee.
