MetroStar 25th Anniversary CARES Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Julian! I just turned one year old on Thursday and, wow, what a great party MetroStar is throwing for me tonight!

I have cystic fibrosis. If I were born when my MetroStar dad was, doctors would have given me a 50-50 chance of living to adulthood. But thanks to the amazing efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, medicine has come so far that people like me can expect to have long happy lives!

It's still a lot of work, though. I do hours of chest PT and nebulizer medicines every day to keep my lungs clear, and have to take enzyme supplements whenever I eat so I absorb nutrients.

But it may not always have to be this way. Genetic therapies are advancing so fast, and the Foundation is supporting dozens of new exciting clinical trials that could help people like me in ways that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.
