The Balasangam club was founded in 2004, initially serving as a space for children to come together to learn about Indian history, culture, mythology, and the Hindi language. 

As the Balasangam club continued to flourish, a cheerful, high-spirited seven-year-old girl joined, and we soon learned that she had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at an early age. For many of us, "cystic fibrosis" was an unfamiliar term, but as we delved deeper, we came to understand that it is a life-threatening genetic disease that significantly shortens life expectancy. With little to no government funding for research, only private organizations and individual donors can help drive efforts toward finding a cure.

This realization strengthened our resolve to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) and to help not only her but also others battling this disease. The participants and founders found a deeper meaning and purpose in the annual shows. Since then, the Balasangam club has been dedicated to hosting these performances as a fundraising effort for cystic fibrosis research.

The little girl has been an inspiration—her courage and unwavering smile, no matter the challenges she faces, remind us why this cause is so important.
