For over a decade, the Atlanta insurance community has banded together to form Insure the Cure in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Insure the Cure was formed in honor of Clay Snellings’ daughter, Emily. Emily was born with cystic fibrosis, a rare, genetic, life shortening disease that causes a buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Currently there is not a cure- but we are striving to change that.

The insurance community has raised over $3.3  million to fuel the mission of the CF Foundation. Thanks to the steadfast support of Insure the Cure teams and supporters, the CF Foundation has led the way in the fight against cystic fibrosis, fueling extraordinary medical and scientific progress, as well as, advancing advocacy and care. The CF Foundation has fostered the development of life saving CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Today, the life expectancy of someone with CF has risen to age fifty-six. When Emily was born in 1997, this number was just thirty-one.

As we celebrate this amazing progress, we are not done yet. Genetic therapies- our best hope for finding a cure- require a substantial investment. As we enter into a new era of cystic fibrosis, the most important and most challenging work still lies ahead. Our vision is a cure for every person with CF and a life free from the burden o f this disease. You have the opportunity to be part of ending this disease.
