There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, and too many people with CF still die far too young.

This year, we're swimming in the 2026 Sharkfest Swim at Alcatraz to help change that reality, and we're swimming for our buddy, Luca.

Luca is 12 years old and was born with cystic fibrosis, a genetic, life‑shortening disease that damages the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs, making it hard to breathe and fight life‑threatening infections. In addition to these challenges, Luca developed CF‑related liver disease and received a life‑saving liver transplant one year ago.

That transplant gave Luca a second chance—but it did not cure his cystic fibrosis. Like so many others, Luca still lives with CF every day, and he still needs a cure.

While research and new treatments have made real progress, too many people with CF are still fighting a lifelong battle. Through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides campaign, we're swimming to help push research forward for Luca and for everyone living with CF.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you’re supporting the science and breakthroughs needed to make a cure possible—for everyone with CF.

Thank you,

Dave, Tucker and Corey
