Weiner Roast 2019

A Family Fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Welcome to Weiner Roast 2019!

For those of you who are new to our event, Weiner Roast is an annual “drop in and stay as long as you like” party held in the home and backyard of the Weiner family.  It's free to attend and fun! Weiner Roast guests enjoy unlimited hotdogs and the “fixins,” a DJ, a photo booth, swimming, lawn games, homemade desserts, cotton candy, a raffle and door prizes, and one of Northern Virginia’s largest silent auctions!  Weiner Roast raises nearly $50,000 annually for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

We have hosted this event for the last 8 years because our children Matt and Melissa have cystic fibrosis (CF) -- a serious, life-threatening genetic lung and digestive disease.  The lifesaving research and innovative medical treatments funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) have had a profound effect on our children’s lives.  This year, Weiner Roast will take place on:

Saturday, June 8th
1 to 6 pm
At the Home of the Weiner Family
2024 Spring Branch Drive
Vienna, Virginia 22181

Since our kids were diagnosed in 1997, the life expectancy for CF has increased from 18 to around 40 years.  There have been amazing breakthroughs and new lifesaving drugs, like Kalydeco, Orkambi, and Symdeko (approved by the FDA in 2012, 2015, and 2018 respectively).  However, there is still not a cure for Matt and Melissa's specific CF genotype.  So, even if you cannot make it to the event, please click on the DONATE button above and make a donation -- we need your support to keep researchers working for a cure for our children!

Hosting Weiner Roast takes lots of helping hands, so if you have the time and interest in helping us with the Silent Auction, baking cookies for our awesome dessert display, or helping in a thousand different jobs at the event, you can sign up right from this page! There are buttons on the top right and middle of the page, and we really appreciate your help!

Thank you again for your ongoing support for Weiner Roast and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We are truly, truly grateful for the joyful and healthy years your generosity has given us with our children.

Sincerely,
Harvey and Janet Weiner
