A VIRTUAL Family Fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Welcome to Weiner Roast 2020!
This year we are VIRTUAL!

For those of you who are new to our event, Weiner Roast is our family's annual fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). We host this event because our children Matt and Melissa have cystic fibrosis (CF) -- a life-threatening genetic disease.  Weiner Roast 2019 raised over $53,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and our family has raised over $500,000 total in the past 9 years with this event!

Because of the COVID-19 global pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our live/in-person Weiner Roast event this year.  Even if the rest of the world is back to normal again on our planned date of June 6, 2020, face-to-face contact will still be dangerous for people with cystic fibrosis until there is an effective vaccine against Coronavirus.

While we will continue to raise money for the CF Foundation virtually, and would as always appreciate a donation, we understand that the COVID-19 global pandemic has endangered the financial security of many people.  For those of you unable to donate this year, please know that we understand.  And we hope you can support us again soon.

If your budget allows a donation, we would very much appreciate your support -- just click on this DONATE button. And please check out our amazing silent auction -- which will be 100% "virtual and contactless" this year -- by clicking HERE. The silent auction will open for bidding at 9 am on May 16th, and will close at 5 pm on June 6th.

Be well and safe... and see you next year for Weiner Roast 2021!
Harvey and Janet Weiner

We thought you would be heartened to know that the basic research funded by the CF Foundation over the past 50 years has already helped COVID-19 researchers to better understand how the lungs fight viral attacks, and how to address lung inflammation.  Because of the tremendous scientific progress we have seen in CF care since our kids were diagnosed, we have great hope that a Coronavirus vaccine will be developed soon.
