Giving Tuesday is always the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. 2020 has given us an opportunity to be reminded of what is important in life. With this in mind we are extending our Giving Tuesday donation opportunities where everything will culminate on December 1 (official Giving Tuesday).
Thank you for sharing our passion and goal to bring more birthdays and CURE cystic fibrosis! We are passionate about finding a cure for cystic fibrosis because of a sweet little 5 year old named Desi. She is the daughter of our instructor, Jamie.
Cystic fibrosis is a life shortening genetic disease that causes the lungs, digestive system and other organs to fill with thick sticky mucous leading to persistent lung infections and reducing her ability to breathe.
Imagine completing a Pure Barre class while only being to breathe through a straw- that is the outlook for Desi's future and we are determined to change that! Our mission is to Drive Miss Desi to a Cure... Fundraisers like this push the gas pedal and get her there quicker.
HOW YOU CAN PLAY A PART IN FURTHERING RESEARCH:
Bingo Cards- Share our Bingo Cards on your social media. Friends then contribute a donation to 'mark off' spots on your Bingo card. Once all your spots are marked off click the above box to submit the money you raised. You are then entered to win a Private Pure Barre Party for you and some friends!
Purchase a Tank or T-shirt in studio- We are all about spreading awareness in addition to funding research. All profits from this gear goes toward our fundraising total. And who knows, by wearing your top you might strike up a conversation in the grocery store over your similar interest! Call or email us to reserve yours!
Donate- Don't want to do a Bingo Card but want to financially contribute to our goal? Thank You!
Everyday Desi completes - Over an hour of chest physiotherapy - Over an hour of breathing treatments (these double in time when she has a cold or is sick)
- Takes 7 medications - Has to eat a high calorie diet - Has to exercise We want more of her time to be spent playing instead of medical treatments.
She works hard to simply breathe so we are sending money for more research to give her a better, healthier, and longer life!
