Everyone who knows me well, knows how important fundraising for the CFF is to me. When I worked at Floating Hospital at Tufts I worked with many CF warriors and my first year teaching first grade connected me with Ellie, another amazing CF warrior. Ellie is finishing up her freshman year in high school! Since Ellie became a huge piece of my heart, I have run for CF, jumped out of a plane with Ellie's mom, and planned school math-a-thon fundraisers. For the past 5 years, I have facilitated a Purple Day for Norton Public Schools to fundraise for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Because of the unprecendented circumstances we find ourselves in, Purple Day didn't get to happen this year, but when one door closes another opens. I was able to register for the virtual Falmouth Road Race (the first race I ran for CF seven years ago!). If you've followed my story since 2010 I have been told I would never run again...three times...and each time, I have proved doctors wrong. Because the race is virtual, I am beyond excited to have this opportunity to run 7 miles my way. If Ellie can fight, I can too! I can't wait to dig deep for CF and get those miles done. I don't think I need to write how much your donation would mean to me (and to all the CF warriors)!
