As long as I breathe, I attack. - Bernard Hinault
5 time winner of the Tour de France

 185 miles. 5 days. 2 bikes. 190,000 breaths.

For persons living with cystic fibrosis (CF), like my 13 year old granddaughter Ella, every breath is cherished.  That's because CF affects the respiratory system and can make breathing difficult. On October 5, Marci and I will be heading out on a five day adventure to bike ride the 185 mile C & O Canal Trail from Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC in honor of Ella. This trail will complete the journey we started last fall when we biked the 150 mile Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) trail.

We invite you to join our passion fundraising event to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization fueling dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the Foundation, people with CF are living longer and healthier lives and the outlook for people with CF continues to improve year after year.

We'll be riding for Ella so that she and all persons with CF can breathe easier and deeper and longer. Thank you for partnering with us.

One hundred percent of your contribution will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. For more information about cystic fibrosis and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, visit
