My name is Chad Eddy. I'm an uncle to two beautiful nieces who were born with Cystic Fibrosis. They are my CF superheroes and are a constant inspiration in my everyday life.
As an uncle to two nieces living with CF, it has always been my passion and purpose to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, so that one day we can see a cure found for this terrible disease.
In 2011, I launched my Make CF History campaign with a goal of raising $1 million for the CF Foundation. I created the Make CF History Charity Classic hockey tournament, which over the course of the next four years raised over $110,000 for the CF Foundation.
Then, on June 21st of 2017, we lost my youngest niece (and my Goddaughter) to this terrible disease. Despite all our progress in the fight to find a cure for CF, for Gabby, it was too little too late. And for my niece Madi, time is of the essence. This will reality will forever inspire to do more, sooner.
In 2022, Madi and I ran the Chicago Marathon together, through the CF Foundation. Together we raised over $30,000!
And now, I'm kicking off this passion fund raiser to keep our momentum going, on our journey to raising $1 million for the CF Foundation, and to be the generation that will find a cure.
