My 65 Days of Crafting for a Cure: 65 Rose Granny Squares
Breana Coyle
I am joining the 65 Days of Crafting for a Cure challenge to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by crocheting 65 Rose Granny Squares!
The granny squares will then be joined together to make up a beautiful blanket of 65 Roses, which is a pseudonym for Cystic Fibrosis - children diagnosed with CF sometimes pronounce "Cystic Fibrosis" as "65 Roses".
Anyone who donates to my 65 day crafting challenge for CF will qualify for the following:
1. An entry to WIN this beautiful 65 Roses Cystic Fibrosis blanket once it is complete! (Or, a custom 65 Roses Cystic Fibrosis blanket with the rose and background colors of your choosing - such as red roses on a black background, pastel roses on ivory, etc.)
2. The ability to choose a color for one rose square! When you click "Donate" there is an option to add a message - please include the color of the rose square you'd like to have created in honor of your donation within that message, and I will post a picture of the rose square you helped to create!
I have the following colors to choose from:
* Purple
* Lilac
* Hot Pink
* Mauve
* Teal
* Sky Blue
* Navy
* Mint
* Orange
* Yellow
* Red
* Green
* Dark Green
The roses will be set within an ivory granny square, and the blanket will be formed of 5 granny squares per row, with 13 rows to make a 5x13 blanket.
If you want to crochet along - I am using Red Heart Soft yarn with a size H8 crochet hook, following the wonderful "Unicorn Dreams Rose Square" pattern tutorial by Hooked by Robin: youtube.com/watch?v=N9D9e1aWFSU
I am so excited to see how extra special this blanket will turn out with *your* involvement and support! Please share and help me make this blanket as colorful as possible!!
Every dollar I raise will help to advance Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's spectacular cause in improving the lives of those living with CF, including of my very best friends, Alex. Please consider sharing this page with your family and friends - together, we can make a difference and make CF stand for Cure Found!
