Start date: March 4th, 2022, 10pm CST

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Rules are as follows for the 4x4x48 Challenge:

Kyle will start and complete the challenge at the  same time as David is undertaking the challenge, regardless of time zone, which is why he is beginning at 10pm (David is PST). This will have the greatest impact as people all over the world will also be partaking in the challenge at the same time. Challenge entails doing four miles, every four hours, for 48 hours straight. Kyle is one of around 10,000 participants, all raising for different charities.

All participants are eligible to possibly win regardless if you run, bike, walk, or some other creative mix of exercise(s), OR if you raise money for the charity of your choice.

You're invited to join my passion fundraising event and help advance the research for Cystic Fibrosis. I chose this charity due to two special family friends of mine that have dealt with this disease their entire lives, along with 30,000 other people in the US alone, and another 40,000 worldwide.

I am highlighting a family friend, Shelby Luebbert's story in the video being shared, who was born with two rare mutations and has had a rollercoaster of health over the past half of her life (she turned 30 last year). Her video is thorough, and passionate on what fundraising truly means for not only her life, but also shedding light on the life of another family friend named JB that was taken from us way too soon at the age of 34  in 2018. JB had common genes, but he fought many cf battles within his life; and passed from a lengthy battle with a resistant bacteria that is common in some of the population of CF named Cepacia..  He was a friend to everyone he met, and we all miss him terribly. The ongoing research we see today is imperative to all, no matter the journey that each person faces; each journey is different, even for siblings who have the same mutation combo.

This adrenaline filled event will help raise funds to support my CF Foundation fundraising efforts, and help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation forward their mission to find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis. Research is currently on the brink of a new chapter within CF, and we need your help.  .  genetic therapies are upon us, and they are not mutation specific compared to what has been able to be utilized right now with medications called modulators. These therapies look to fix and/or replace the root cause of cystic fibrosis and put an absolute stop to the damage being done everyday, and help those with rare mutations that cannot benefit from current modulators since many do not make the CF protein needed. Your donations directly help fund not only infection control and everchanging medication needs as cf'ers are living longer and thriving better, but they help fund a tomorrow with the Path to a Cure for those enduring CF struggles on a day to day basis.

Thank you in advance for your support and participation to this event, you are truly  helping to make a difference for people living with CF.

All donations are 100% tax deductible
